The new identity for SIGNUM Stile began with a clear intention: to create a brand that reflects the studio’s work, philosophy, and heritage rather than inventing a new narrative. I set out to reveal and articulate the identity already present within SIGNUM—shaped by Italian automotive tradition and a distinctly modern design mindset. Positioned as a Bottega del design, a contemporary interpretation of Italy’s historic ateliers, SIGNUM required a visual language rooted in craft and precision. I developed a script logotype inspired by classic automotive lettering and rebuilt it through a geometric, contemporary lens. It is both expressive and exact, a true signature that reflects SIGNUM’s pairing of emotive artistry with technical precision. This approach extended through the entire system. I based the layouts on the atelier wall, where ideas evolve through layering, editing, and refinement. Negative space became an architectural frame; imagery and sketches were arranged deliberately; typography remained calm, modern, and quietly confident. I defined the emotional direction as crafted restraint, magnetic intrigue, and refined elegance. The palette stayed minimal—charcoal, graphite, silver, off-white—anchored by a blue-pencil accent that references the analogue origins of automotive design. The redesign became my articulation of SIGNUM’s core belief: design is meaning made visible. A brand is not a veneer but a signature—an expression of emotion, precision, and craftsmanship brought together to shape identity.
